Cornish Creamed Apples with Strawberry Jam

Lately I’ve been researching Recipes that go way back, especially ones from Cornwall, such as “potato jowdle” and “kiddley broth” both of which I may publish on here.
While doing so I came across this simple dessert, it’s definitely not one for keeping your new year’s resolutions intact for dieting!! But that went out the window for me about ten past midnight 😉 Trust me you will love it. #eattherainbow

Apple Jam (with Jonathan Apples) Apple Jam (with Jonathan Apples)
Usually apple jam is made by covering the fruit with sugar to draw out the moisture before simmering. I used to use this method, but the color never turned out as nice as I wanted. I thought it was kind of like making caramel from sugar syrup. So I added a creative step. The season for Kougyoku apples is short, and making a large amount of homemade jam is a big job. So I divide the apples into the peel + cores and fruit, add lemon water (1/2 a lemon worth of juice or a little salt added to 1 liter of water) to both, pack into plastic bags and freeze. They keep for at least 10 months (from my experience). For about 1 kg of jam. Recipe by Ojimaya Jinbee cookpad.japan -
Tofu Bavarois with Strawberry Jam Tofu Bavarois with Strawberry Jam
I made this dish because I wanted to eat a healthy dessert that uses tofu.If you use jam with pulp, you don't need to put it in a blender. A little bit of stirring retains the pulp, and it will look more delicious.Make sure you pour in the gelatin while stirring. If you stir it after you pour it in, it will become lumpy. For 4 servings. Strawberry Banana Jam Strawberry Banana Jam
I love "Gomekochan's" banana jam, and I thought it would be the perfect match with a strawberry jam so I made this recipe! You can make this jam quickly, unlike normal strawberry jam where you have to leave it for a while. It will be very sweet if you use ripened bananas. It is very easy for the jam to scorch, so please stir while boiling it down. Egg-Free Strawberry Jam Cookies Egg-Free Strawberry Jam Cookies
I wanted to make a simple flavored cookie that used strawberry jam instead of sugar, so I came up with this recipe. You can use other flavored jams if you want. The katakuriko makes these cookies crunchy. I also used as little vegetable oil as possible. You can make these even at the last minute since the whole process only takes about 30 minutes!Keeping the temperature at 180℃ while baking is no problem, but they will darken. The baking time will change depending on the dough and the size of the cookies. During the last 10 minutes of baking, pay attention and adjust as necessary. If the dough is difficult to handle in Step 3, chill in the refrigerator. Recipe by Minimame cookpad.japan -

Strawberry and Thyme Jam Strawberry and Thyme Jam
Once you get a taste of homemade jam, there's no going back. At least that's my case. I enjoy cooking jam as much as eating them. Pectin is a time saver if you don't feel like spending hours behind the stove. You can omit it if you have time to kill, or if you don't mind runny jam. And to make your homemade jam special, add thyme, or whatever herb you like. alwayshungry -
