The Waldorf Salad was invented in the late nineteenth century by the chef of the Hotel Waldorf Astoria in New York. I’ve added controversially I know, cherry tomatoes for colour. #eattherainbow 🌈 PS I’ve prepared a variation of different plating dishes.

1 Tbsplemon juice
1/2 teaspoonsalt, Pinch of ground black pepper
2sweet apples, cored and chopped
Handfulred seedless grapes, cut in half
1celery thinly sliced
1 handfulslightly toasted walnuts
Shredded lettuce
Cherry Tomatoes optional

Chop and slice all the ingredients accordingly, add the mayonnaise, lemon juice and season with salt and black pepper. Gently mix.

Serve on a bed of lettuce with tomatoes for colour.(optional)
