Steps

Cut off the ends off the green beans, the cut them into 3 even lengths. Cut the atsuage into bite-sized pieces, and pour over boiling water to drain the excess oil.

Add all the ★ ingredients into a pot, and bring to a boil, then add in the Step 1 ingredients. Bring to a boil again. Place a small, light lid that sits right on top of the food (otoshibuta) and simmer for 10 minutes over medium heat.

Remove the small lid, and continue simmering for about 5 minutes over low heat. Please be careful not to evaporate the broth completely. And you're done.

This is 'Ganmodoki' (small deep-fried fritters made of tofu and various ingredients) & Green Beans. This is also delicious.
