Ingredients

4 people
  • 1/2 kgDaal chana
  • 2,3 Tablespoonsmasala
    Basic Masala for Pakistani curries
  • 1 teaspoonCoriander powder
  • 1 teaspooncumin seed powder
  • 1 TablespoonCilantro leaves
  • 2green Chillies
  • 2,3Garlic cloves
  • Oil as required
  • 1,2dried red chilli whole

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Rinse dal in running water for a couple of times. Drain the water and Soak in the fresh water and leave it minimum 1 hour.
    Add salt to taste and boil it until daal softened and well cooked,

    Add masala in pan then add boiled dal in the masala keep stirring add coriander and cumin seeds powder

    Basic Masala for Pakistani curries
  3. 3

    Add some garam masala,let it simmer until perfect consistency,
    Make tarka with garlic or onion and some whole red chilli in a ghee or oil

    Garnish with tarka cilantro leaves and chilli
    Serve with roti or paratha, naan or (best option is) boiled rice.
