Yakitori made in a Frying Pan

I wanted to eat yakitori with alcohol! I had chicken thighs in the fridge so I made this on a whim. The clean-up after using the grill is a pain, so I made it easily in the frying pan and it worked.
The key is cutting the chicken in even pieces, so that they cook through evenly. Recipe by Puririnchan

Steps
- 1
Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and flavor with salt and pepper.
- 2
Cut the leek into 1 cm pieces and set aside.
- 3
Combine soy sauce, sake, and mirin in equal amounts of each and set aside. If you like a sweeter flavor, add sugar.
- 4
Skewer the chicken and leek in that order and cook in a frying pan with a little oil.
- 5
Once both sides have browned, reduce the heat and add the flavoring ingredients. Cook until you get the thick teriyaki flavor.
- 6
Transfer to a serving place and sprinkle ichimi chili powder if you like, and it's complete.
