Ingredients

45 minutes
4 people
  • 1 bowlMatki (Moth bean),
  • 1/4 bowl brown gram (Chana),
  • 2onions,
  • 10-12 garlic kali
  • 1 bowlspring onion,
  • 2 green chilies,
  • 1Small piece of ginger,
  • 6-7 curry leaves,
  • 1 tsp each Red chilli powder, turmeric
  • as requiredKala masala, Goda masala,
  • 2 dryred chili coriander leaves
  • As neededSalt, oil, water, pav,Misal farsan

Steps

45 minutes
  1. 1

    Take 1 big bowl mix together Matki and brown gram and wash it. Now take a cooker and put this -add 2 glasses of water,some salt, pinch of soda and boil it. After 4-5 whistles off the gas and let it cool down - take strainer and remove this.

    Take a pan put oil when oil starts to heat add 2 dry red chili,curry leaves, spring onion, ginger-garlic- green chilies paste and saute it.

    Now add pinch of turmeric, red chilli powder, Kala masala,goda masala and salt as per your taste mix it properly. Now add 2 glasses of hot water and boil it.

    Now Misal is ready to eat. Serve with Misal farsan, chopped onions,, pav, papad and cool - cool sweet lassi.
