Ingredients

  • Handfulshallots
  • as required Small bowl dried sundakal
  • 1 tspfenugreek seeds,
  • 1tsp mustard seeds
  • 1tsp jeera
  • 4-5red chillies, pinch of hingu
  • 2 tspkozhumbu Powder
  • as neededCurry leaves
  • 2 tspchilli powder,
  • 2tsp salt

    Take oil in a kadai add mustard seeds, urad dal, cumin seeds n red chillies. Saute. Then add sundakal n fry then add shallots n fry.

    Soak big lemon size tamarind in water. Extract the tamarind juice. Add the jiuce to the kadai and cover and cook. Add chilli powder n salt.

    When the liquid thickes add kozhumbu powder mix n cook for few min. Check consistency. Should be bit thick. Add 2tsp jaggery powder. Curry leaves too.cook for another 5mn and switch off the stove.
