Whiskey Glazed Carrots
1300's medieval recipe. Carrots used to be mainly different colored not just orange. Purple was the main color in the past. Then red, yellow, and white.
Steps

Peel and cut on a diagonal thinly the carrots. In a pan bring to boil the butter, water, sugar, and spices.

When the liquids boil add the carrots. Cover allow to braise 15 minutes.

Remove cover and add the whiskey- bourbon. Allow to cook, 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
