Ingredients

  • 30 gChia seeds (soaked overnight in 250 ml water)
  • 250 mlwhole milk (but you can use alternatives)
  • 50 mlrose syrup (stocked by most Asian supermarkets)
  • 45 gporridge oats
  • 100 gfrozen smoothie mix (banana and blueberry works well)

    The night before, shake the Chia seeds into the water in a lidded plastic pot (a washed yogurt pot is perfect). This will make enough Chia seeds for four servings, and you will want it the next day.

  2. 2

    Also, mix the milk with the rose syrup (a little at a time, sipping with clean spoons, and adjusting until it tastes very pleasant) and then add the oats all together in a jug and cover.

    Refrigerate the Chia seeds and the milk mix overnight.

  4. 4

    Next morning, in a liquidiser, with a stick blender or a Nutribullet, combine half the Chia seeds, the fragrant milk, and the smoothie mix.

  5. 5

    Blend to the consistency you enjoy, pour into glasses and serve. Heavenly.
