Ingredients

  • 200 gmsPaneer
  • 2onions
  • 5tomatoes
  • 4-5 podsgarlic
  • 1 inchginger
  • 1 tspGinger garlic paste
  • 2bay leaves
  • 4green cardamom
  • 1black cardamom
  • 5-6cashew nuts
  • 2green chillies
  • 1 tspturmeric powder
  • 1 tspcumin powder
  • 1 tbspcoriander powder
  • 2 tspred chilli powder
  • as per tastesalt
  • 1 tspgaram masala
  • 1 tspkasuri methi

Steps

  1. 1

    Roughly chop 1 onion and 4 tomatoes. Put it in a pan with all whole spices, ginger, garlic and, cashew nuts and boil it. Put off the flame, cool the mixture and blend it smooth in a mixer or blender.

  2. 2

    Heat oil in pan. Add cumin, green chilies and ginger garlic paste. Add one chopped onion. Sauté until onion turns brown. Add one chopped tomato. Cook, it it turns tender. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder,red chilli powder and the pureed mixture from step1.

  3. 3

    Add salt and cook it covered for 15 min or until oil separates.

  4. 4

    Add paneer cubes, kasuri methi and garam masala.

  5. 5

    Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.and serve with tandoori roti or naan.
