I tried to make this delicious recipe in a simple way yet it will taste like resturant.
Steps

Wash chicken properly then marinate with haldi powder, jeera powder, salt, curd and keep aside for 1 hour.

Now heat a kadai and add sufficient oil for frying chopped onion, as soon as onion turns golden brown add ginger and garlic paste with chilli paste.

Saute for few minutes until raw smell vanishes, now add marinated chicken and stir properly.

When colour of chicken will change now add dhaniya powder, salt and sugar according to taste.

Add cashew and poppy seed paste and stir constantly so that masala doesn't stick to the kadai.

Now add chopped dhanya leaves and cook for few minutes until oil start seperating from the chicken.

Now add lukewarm water and let it cook until chicken becomes tender.

When it will turn into a thick gravy add garam masala powder and mix it well, again cook for 5mins.

Switch off the flame and give standing time of 10mins and can be served with both rice and roti.
