Bread Pua: An Instant & Quick Holi/Festive Speciality

An easy, instant & quickest recipes of all, I believe...
However, it’s equally decadent & flavourful in its tastes & is no less than any normal ‘Malpua’- prepared, through the enormously tedious & meticulously incorporated procedures...!!!
Just give it a shot- You’ll agree with me for sure & thank me too, perhaps 👍
Bread Pua: An Instant & Quick Holi/Festive Speciality
An easy, instant & quickest recipes of all, I believe...
However, it’s equally decadent & flavourful in its tastes & is no less than any normal ‘Malpua’- prepared, through the enormously tedious & meticulously incorporated procedures...!!!
Just give it a shot- You’ll agree with me for sure & thank me too, perhaps 👍
Steps
- 1
Add in a saucepan, over the medium-high flame: 1/2 Cup water & 1 Cup Sugar & bring it to a boil, while it’s on the oven- add in it the fennel seeds, pounded Black & Green Cardamoms
- 2
Once it starts boiling reduce the flame to low & make it a 1 string Syrup, once that’s attained- Mix the fresh lemon juice to it, mix well for another one minute
- 3
Turn off the flame & set aside on the same hot oven itself in its resting position until further use & now, heat up a frying pan over the medium flame....
- 4
Add in sufficient ghee to it for deep fry....Cut out the breads (I’ve used Brown Bread herein), into your choicest shapes
- 5
Now, once the ghee is sufficiently hot enough for its deep frying- Drop down the cut out bread slices to it, in batches- According to the shape & size of your own frying pan- it might take you 2-3-4 batches to fry out it all
- 6
Once they’re dark Golden Brown in colour- Transfer it to a separate plate pre lined with the kitchen towels to soak the excess oil from it & leave it quite crispy & crunchy & that’s exactly how it should be
- 7
Now, is the good time to either immerse it into the previously prepared sugar syrup or place it in a serving platter & pour in or drizzle the sugar syrup on its top generously or as is required
- 8
Garnish it with your choicest dry fruits...According, to my own & families’ choice- I usually don’t immerse it completely in the sugar syrup (ensure the correct hotness of the same in order to give it a nice sheen in its looks & texture) & at the same time, it doesn’t become too soggy to be just mouthed in & gulped & not eaten properly with its proper crunching
- 9
ENJOY this instant & extremely delectable platter of quick desserts on this Holi without even taxing much on your precious time & energy yet, people are quite appreciative of your keen & earnest efforts in preparing the same
