Ingredients

  • 1 bunchdesi Palak/ spinach leaves
  • 1medium boiled potato chopped
  • 1 Tbspchopped onion
  • 1 Tbspchopped tomatoes
  • 2green chili slit lengthwise
  • 1/5 tspmustard seeds
  • 2 tspminced garlic
  • to tasteSalt
  • 2 tspmustard oil to cook

  1. 1

    Clean, wash, dry and chop spinach leaves and their stems separately.

    Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and allow to splutter. Saute minced garlic, chopped onion and chili till they are aromatic leaving the rawness.

    Mix the chopped spinach stems and tomatoes and cook till softer.

    Add chopped Spinach leaves and chopped boiled potatoes. Saute for a minute and add salt.

    Cook till spinach leaves are done. Serve hot with Roti or as a side dish with steamed rice.
