Easy oven roasted crispy pork belly

Cooking Instructions

Clean belly with tap water properly. Put belly inside pot and makesure belly properly submerged inside water. Put ginger and garlic together inside pot. Let it boiled for 10 minutes

After 10 minutes, remove belly from pot. Rinse with tap water and pat dry. Once dried, poke small hole on belly skin side. You can use fork or bamboo satay stick. Poke as much small hole as you can

Once ready, rub meat side of belly with salt and 5 spices powder. For skin side, by using brush, spread vinegar evenly on top of belly skin let it for a while before pat dry with kitchen towel. Spread salt evenly on top of skin surface. Let it sit for at least 30 munutes before roasted inside oven

Place belly on top of baking tray. Preheat oven at 200 degrees celcius for 5 minutes before proceed to put at middle rack of the oven using top and lower heat. Roasted for 1 hour.

At minutes 50, change oven settings to top heat only to make skin more crispy. Roast for another 10minutes. Make sure to check belly to avoid it from burned.

After 1 hour. Crispy belly is ready to serve with spicy soy sauce or spicy vinegar sauce. Enjoy
