Followed grandma's traditional way to prepare Shrikhand.. Kesar Shrikhand with authentic Indian Flavors
Steps
- 1
I hung around 1.25 kgs of curd from a height in muslin cloth, so that all extra water releases.
- 2
The hung curd was ready(left with around a kg hung curd). I added around 750gms of sugar in it. It's sweetness definitely varies according to taste. I didn't grind in a mixer..
- 3
I left this mixture in a warm place so that sugar dissolves in hung curd.
Then, I took a seive and seived the mixture😊The authentic way, my grandma use to make it like this.. Awesome creamy texture. 😋 - 4
Added saffron soaked in little warm milk, cardamom powder and freshly grated nutmeg.
Give it a nice mix. Refrigerate it and serve it chill
