Sweet khurmi

"Khurmi" is a sweet dish, popular in a state name Chhattisgarh of India, Chhattisgarh is known as rice bowl of Central India and it is 10th largest state of India. Earlier it was a part of Madhyapradesh, another state of India. At 2000 it was seperated from M.P and named by Chhattisgarh, Why Chhattisgarh? there are 36 pillars of Chhatishgarhin Devi Temple and chattis means 36 and garh means fort. Mainly rice based recipes are popular in Chhattisgarh because there is large amount of rice is prepared by farmers
So, Chhattisgarh have its own tribal cuisine,coming to this "Khurmi", its one of the traditional sweets prepared in this state. It is tasty and healthy and mostly it is prepared at Teej one of the indian festival. we need wheat flour,sugar, ghee and sesame seeds are the main ingredients for making this sweet, once deepfried you can conserve this sweet very well.They can lasts for many days.

First make sure heat oil to make it in form of moven in kadai

When oil is heated at medium flame, then take it in a bowl

Take a flat steel bowl, put all wheat flour, grated sugar,grated coconut,sesame seeds,moven and add water as per quantity so that it well mixed with flour and try to make it a stiff dough.

Make it in a form of big patse like 3 or 4 of the dough, take one and shape it like littlethicker dics

Take a knife start straight cut from one edge to another from left to right then cut give top to down vertically

Last gather shaped pieces in a plate and prepare oil by heating in medium flame. once heated oil ready then deep fry by taking initially little portion of pieces

Take from oil pan to your dish and repeat step accordingly.
