Gateau au Chocolat In a Frying Pan

I used the same batter I always use for "Gateau au Chocolat Made in a Lekué Container")and tried cooking it in a frying pan, instead.
Don't forget to include adding water to the pan. The cake is less likely to burn, and it is even moister.
Please keep an eye on the cake as it cooks and adjust the cooking time according to the size and thickness of the frying pan, the temperature, and how far the flame is from the pan. (See Step 13)
The height of the finished cake will differ depending on the type of pancake mix you use and the size of the egg. Recipe by Hokkori-no

Steps
- 1
Line a frying pan with parchment paper. Fold it to fit the inside edges.
- 2
Cut the parchment paper so it doesn't overlap on the edges. (Make sure it doesn't hang over the edges of the frying pan.)
- 3
Put the butter and chopped chocolate in a heatproof container. Microwave for 1 minute at 600W to melt.
- 4
Stir the chocolate mixture with a whisk and then add the sugar, egg, pancake mix and pure cocoa powder. Mix well.
- 5
If you like sweeter cake, use 40 g of sugar.
- 6
Pour the batter from Step 4 into the prepared frying pan and smooth the top with a spatula. (The batter will spread out as it heats.)
- 7
Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 8 minutes over the lowest possible heat, keeping an eye on it. (Cook until the surface is covered with air holes.)
- 8
Hold up the edge of the parchment paper with chopsticks, and pour in 1 tablespoon of water between the paper and the frying pan in two separate places.
- 9
Warning: The water will immediately turn to hot steam, so be careful not to get burned.
- 10
Cover the frying pan with a lid right away, and cook for 90 seconds-2 minutes, until you can no longer hear the steam sizzling. Turn off the heat and let it sit with the lid on for 2 minutes.
- 11
Holding the edges of the parchment paper, take the gateau chocolat out of the frying pan and cool it on a plate. (The cooked cake will be about 2 cm high.)
- 12
Peel off the parchment paper when the gateau chocolat is cool. Dust with powdered sugar, using a tea strainer. (Cocoa powder is also OK)
- 13
This shows the size of the flame, and how far it is from the bottom of the frying pan. (※ The flame is not touching the pan directly.)
- 14
Please note that the powdered sugar on top will turn transparent over time, as it dissolves.
