Air-fried chicken wings -- for the food sensitive

This recipe is for those of us who can't eat spices or condiments (peppers, etc.): Nothing except salt. Please note that not Costco, not Secura, not Amazon, not "The best Ultimate ..." know me at all. I use these products to make a difficult situation (food sensitivities) easier. It's easy to substitute.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
If you're using Costco party wings, cut off the top; remove the icky paper.
If not using this product, add wings to a secure baggie.
It's not a good idea to wash them.
- 2
Holding/closing the top, add some salt (see above about salt additives). Shake to cover wing parts.
- 3
Place "The Ultimate Best Parchment Paper Especially Designed for Air Fryers" in the air fryer. It's cut to fit and has holes in it. I got it at Amazon. I don't use a rack, just the parchment. It works and there is no rack to clean. But please use the rack if you'd prefer. Let us know if it's even better. I hate cleaning racks.
- 4
Preheat the fryer at 400 degrees for about seven minutes. When hot, place the wings -- in one layer -- on the parchment paper, make sure they cover the whole paper, especially the edges. Otherwise, the paper will fly all over the fryer, burn a little and scare you -- as it did me. I also make them without the paper. Just as good. More cleaning.
- 5
Use the air fryer's instructions to set time and temperature -- or not. I use 400 degrees F (my air fryer said 360F) and 25 minutes.
- 6
At 12-13 minutes left to cook, my air fryer dings for me to turn the wings. So far, I just give them a little toss: no need to turn each one.
- 7
When the browning is to your liking, remove and drain on paper towels or however you drain fried things.
- 8
I often cook two batches of wings, plus potatoes and fish filets at the same time as the wings. You decide which comes first. Fish last, for me. I like the (very light) chicken flavor on potatoes.
- 9
When cooled, place the inside, washable parts of the air fryer in sink, add soap and warm/hot water. Soak. Brush. Check and dry throughly before returning to fryer.

Hubbalicious and I both love Buffalo and BBQ chicken wings, so I came up with this recipe to satisfy both cravings at once. When I took these pics, I didn't have any chicken wings in the fridge, so I broke down our weekly whole chicken into frying pieces, but you can easily make this recipe with wings only.If all you need is the (super simple and easy) sauce recipe, I've offered it up first. If you can use some guidance on the chicken itself, just read past the sauce. x -

Our Family's Juicy Fried Chicken Wings Our Family's Juicy Fried Chicken Wings
This is my mother's signature dish. Easy, delicious and inexpensive. If you're afraid of getting garlic breath, eat an apple after dinner and it will dissipate. (I saw this hint on TV.)I always use Mizkan Sushi Vinegar, but you can use your own homemadi sushi vinegar instead. The basic formula for sushi vinegar is: 1 cup (200 ml) vinegar, 3 1/2 tablespoons sugar, and 1 teaspoon salt.Don't be afraid, add plenty of garlic - that's the key. It's not too spicy at all. I've loved this since I was small so children should be fine with it. Recipe by Kumanomi cookpad.japan -
Delicious Chicken Wings Delicious Chicken Wings
I forgot to defrost the wings and so I boiled them.Wing tips and drumettes both are difficult to cook, and since they are, at least I know they are safe because they are boiled at the beginning. When you go camping, this is an essential dish.Since they absorb flavor best when they are still hot, be sure to properly flavor them. The salt is a rough guideline so please adjust it to how you like it in your household. Dry Curry Wings Dry Curry Wings
Sometimes simple is better.I wanted to try something different, something not wet on my wings. I also love English Curry (yellow curry powder), so what can I do to combine things to come up with a dry spice based off English Curry. This had a perfect balance I think. A light curry flavor (on the wings), not spicy, really good. If your wings have more oil on the outside, more powder will stick and give you a heavier flavor. But since it seems pretty balanced, not really a bad deal either.Deep fry, bake, grill or air fry those wings and give this shake on seasoning a try.You won't need a dozen napkins either.Note, - I only used about 1/4 of the powder for this amount of wings, so it makes plenty. Lebanese Style Wings Lebanese Style Wings
Exceptional! This was a blind, try something completely different dinner. This is basically two marinades. As i was assembling the dish, i was thinking, there is no way I'm going to like this. And i had doubts about my wife, but she is a little more into acid flavor than i am.This was originally designed to take a cut up whole chicken, and grill it. I of course thought, WINGs, and air fryer! But there is nothing stopping you from a regular oven, or grilling for that matter. Now the taste, is one of those that the whole is different than the individual parts hint at.My wife did think this is a hit, we need to do this again, she said.I thought, this is really good, not really acid, not sour, even a hint of sweet. The spice combination works wonderfully. I was really surprised. Now i am not an olive oil fan, so i used canola oil instead. It just shows almost any oil should work.As is, there is virtually no heat (spicy). Fo Fa -
Asian Aroma Sweet-Savory Chicken Wings & Chinese 5-Spice Powder Asian Aroma Sweet-Savory Chicken Wings & Chinese 5-Spice Powder
This has been a standard in our house for the past 15 years. The aroma of the 5-spices takes me back to Singapore.5-Spice powder is essential in Chinese cooking. Feel free to use it as a secret ingredient in roast pork, simmered pork, Chinese okowa, fried rice, etc. It's a scent that reminds of other countries.Simmer for 5 minutes at first to get rid of the chicken wing scum and to do the majority of the cooking.Cutting off the chicken wing tips helps its overall appearance. Adding cuts at the bottom makes it easier to eat and helps the flavor to soak in.You can try using the discarded tips as soup stock... Recipe by Koyokkoyo cookpad.japan -
Easy Sweet-Salty Teriyaki Simmered Chicken Wings and Daikon Radish Easy Sweet-Salty Teriyaki Simmered Chicken Wings and Daikon Radish
The daikon radish in this simmered dish is so tender you don't have to chew it at all .They don't fall apart a bit even though the sharp edges aren't cut off. The ingredients are cooked in a large pan in a single layer, with the components overlapping as little as possible. And you don't stir it and fiddle with it while it's simmering. The key is to cook everything in the bubbles. You don't want to taste or smell the garlic at all. It's not added for that really. It's added for richness, and to counteract the gaminess of the chicken. Whenever you think that a dish needs more richness, try adding a tiny bit of garlic. It will add that richness you want. Only add a tiny bit, not enough to taste the garlic. Recipe by pegupepepe cookpad.japan -
