Dal palak is an easy, simple, and nutritious recipe of dal and palak. You can use any dal. Here I have used yellow moong dal. This comfort dish tastes superb and it's very healthy. Rich in iron, protein, vitamins, and minerals. Low in calories which helps for weight loss.

Dal palak is an easy, simple, and nutritious recipe of dal and palak. You can use any dal. Here I have used yellow moong dal. This comfort dish tastes superb and it's very healthy. Rich in iron, protein, vitamins, and minerals. Low in calories which helps for weight loss.

Take the moong dal in a bowl and wash it. Wash palak and tomato and chop.

Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds. Let them crackle, add asafoetida and green chili, ginger, and garlic paste. Stir it.

Now add tomatoes and stir it for 30 seconds. Now add red chili powder,garam masala, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt.

Mix it and cook for 1 minute. Now add washed moong dal and palak in it.

Mix well. Cook it in medium flame for 1-2 whistles. Once the pressure cooker settles down, take off the lid. Dal palak is ready to serve.

Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves.
