Creamy Smooth Sweet Potato Bites

I thought about making"Sweet Potato Bites" and I tried cooking the sweet potatoes in the microwave and increased the cream. The result was too soft to form into bites,so, I accidentally created a new recipe.
The rum is delicious for adults, but 1 tablespoon seems too much for kids. So adjust accordingly. Recipe by Lesser Panda
Creamy Smooth Sweet Potato Bites

Steps

Peel the sweet potatoes and cut into 3 cm chunks. Put into a pot and put in enough water to cover the potatoes. Turn on the heat and cook the potatoes. When you can easily poke a skewer through, they are done.

Drain the potatoes and mash. While still warm, add the butter and sugar and mix well.

Add the cream, rum, vanilla, and egg yolk and mix.

Strain the mixture. It will become creamy. Preheat the oven to 190°C.

Put the mixture into a pastry bag. You can also spoon the mixture into the cups at this stage.

Squeeze the mixture into containers or cups of your choice. Brush egg yolk on top if desired. This time, I didn't brush the egg yolk on.

Once the oven is heated, bake for about 10-20 minutes. The baking time may vary due to the shape of your containers, so keep an eye on it and adjust as necessary.
