Melt the butter in a saucepan until dark brown, then set aside to cool

Beat together the eggs and sugar then incorporate the lemon zest and vanilla extract

Fold in the flour, baking powder and salt

Fold the butter into the mixture and then refrigerate for 60 minutes

Transfer the mixture to the madeleine tray and bake in a 180°C pre heated oven for 12 minutes
