Steps
- 1
Combine the ingredients for the dough and knead until smooth.
- 2
Let rise for 40 minutes at a temperature of 30℃ for the first proving. Since there is only a small amount of yeast, it will not rise much.
- 3
Divide the dough into thirds, roll each into a ball. Place the balls of dough between folds in a baker's couche, cover with a damp cloth, then let sit for 20 minutes.
- 4
Roll each ball into a 10 x 15 cm rectangle.
- 5
Using a pizza cutter, divide each sheet of dough into 10 equal strips.
- 6
Shape the strips into your desired forms and place onto a baking tray for a final proof. It should take about 20 minutes at 40℃.
- 7
They should slightly rise. Brush on olive oil with a pastry brush and sprinkle on salt to finish.
- 8
After baking for 10 minutes at 200℃, decrease the temperature to 120℃, and bake for 10 more minutes. They're ready to serve.
- 9
- 10
Here, I made the letters "M", "O" and "S" (backwards!!). Next, I made a scarf (?) and a spiral (?) and a heart.
