Ingredients

15 minutes
12 people
  1. 2 1/3 cupsall-purpose flour
  2. 1 tspbaking soda
  3. 1 tbspcornstarch
  4. 1 tbspvanilla extract
  5. 3/4 cupunsalted butter, melted then cooled slightly
  6. 1 cupbrown sugar
  7. 1/2 cupgranulated white sugar
  8. 1egg (room temperature)
  9. 1egg yolk (room temperature)
  10. 1 1/2 cupsemi sweet chocolate chips

Cooking Instructions

15 minutes
  1. 1

In large bowl sift dry ingredients together.

  2. 2

Add the melted butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar with the dry ingredients.

  3. 3

Whisk in the vanilla extract, egg and egg yolk until the mixture is light and creamy. (DO NOT OVER MIX!)

  4. 4

    Add the chocolate chips

  5. 5

Scoop out cookie dough, about 1/4 cup per cookie, and roll the dough balls in your hands until smooth. Now I freeze mine in a stainless steel bowl and you can always pre scoop and freeze on baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes.

  6. 6

Pre heat oven to 325 degrees.

  7. 7

Place cookie dough about 3 inches apart on a parchment lined baking sheet or a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat.

  8. 8

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven. The cookies are done when the edges are golden and the center looks slightly under baked. (( DO NOT OVER BAKE!!))

  9. 9

Let the cookies cool on wire rack for at least 5 minutes and then transfer to a wire racks to finish cooling.
