Prepare the ingredients. Grate the apple, onion, garlic, and ginger, then mix with the ★ seasonings.

Pierce the bone-in chicken thigh with a fork to let it absorb the flavor.

Add the ★ mixture, and enough water to cover the meat to a pot. Cover with a lid and simmer for about 10 minutes. Remove the lid, and simmer until almost all the liquid is gone.

They are all cooked through, so you can eat as is. But it will be great to sear the surface on a fish grill, which adds a nice fragrance.
