Beetroot Dosa is one of the easiest ways to include beautiful Colour and Health in your food . The taste of dosa is same as the normal dosa . But this is good twist to the usual ones we cook at home .
when I had both beetroot and idli / dosa batter, I tried this one and turned out wonderful. This is just a basic idea, you can improvise this with your favorite ingredients in it.

Peel and cut beetroot into small pieces. Blend it with ginger and chilli till smooth. Add 2-3tbsp water if required.
Make sure there is no chunks of beetroot is left. You may seave it if required. - 3
Further, mix beetroot purée and dosa batter together nicely.
If batter is thick then add some water along with salt and give it a good mix. We need pouring consistency batter. - 4
For making Dosa...
Heat dosa pan, Pour one tsp of oil on the tawa. Spread the oil evenly with cotton napkin. Sprinkle little water so that excess heat is absorbed. If water drops sizzle and evaporate within few seconds, tawa is hot enough to cook. - 5
Now take a ladle full of the beetroot dosa batter. Pour the batter and gently spread the batter starting from the center and moving outwards. Spread it little thick so that you get soft dosa. If you like crispy dosa than Spread the batter thin.

Cook the dosa on a low to medium flame. When you see the batter on the top cooked, then sprinkle ¼ to ½ tsp oil on the edges and center. Cook till the base is nicely golden and crisp. The base will leave the pan when its gets cooked.

Now fold the Dosa.
Dosa is ready to serve. - 7
Serve hot Beetroot Dosa with coconut chutney and spicy green chutney. Enjoy
