Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to 325

Sift cake flour, salt and baking soda and set aside

Cream butter and cream cheese
- 4
Add sugar to butter and mix for about 10 - 12 minutes until fluffy

Add eggs 1 at a time until well incorporated

Add flavorings to the milk
- 7
Alternate flour and milk beginning with the flour and ending with flour
- 8
Grease and flour a bundt pan and pour batter into the pan
- 9
Bake in oven at 325 for 1 hour 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean
- 10
Beat cream cheese until creamy and add the rest of the ingredients and mix until desired consistency by adding extra milk if needed

This isn’t an original recipe but it is an adjusted recipe. It will, however, be the base for all my low carb pound cakes from now on. This is rich and moist and will be gone by tomorrow. I have a lemon tree so I used my own fresh Myer lemon juice for the glaze. Good ole carbquick. This is loaded with fiber and protein but who cares lol it’s 2 net carbs per 1/16 of the entire cake. It’s not even remotely low fat but it is extremely low carb. I could skinny this recipe down with margarine and low fat cream cheese but not today. Maybe next time.
