Simmered Sweet Potatoes

I wanted to eat sweet potatoes, so I thought of an easy way to prepare them.

Depending on how you cut the potatoes, the cooking time may vary. So adjust the amount of water as you go.

When the amount of water becomes low, occasionally turn over the potatoes or shake the pan.

It's pretty sweet, so you can adjust the sugar to 2 tablespoons if you like.

  2. 2

When the butter melts, put in the potatoes. Simmer the potatoes in medium heat while shaking the pan from time to time. Flip over when the potatoes become translucent.

  3. 3

When the liquid is almost completely boiled down, turn the heat to low and add the remaining ingredients. Shake the pan until the potatoes are completely coated.

  4. 4

If you can't wait to eat it while it's hot, that's okay! But if you wait a bit, the flavor soaks in and it looks better, too. Even when cooled, the butter won't get clumpy.
