Ingredients

1/2 hour
4-5 people
  • for batter
  • 2 cupgram flour (besan)
  • 1/2 tspcarrom seeds
  • 1 pinchasafoetida
  • 1 tspfennel seeds (crushed)
  • 1 tspvinegar
  • 4-5crushed garlic cloves
  • 5-7green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 2-4 tbspfinely chopped coriander leaves
  • as per tasteSalt
  • For filling-
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 4cheese slice
  • 1whole wheat bread pack
  • as required Oil for frying
  • Potato masala
  • 4boiled potato
  • 1 tspGaram masala
  • 1/2 tspRed chili powder
  • 1/2 tspChaat masala
  • 1 tbspChopped coriander
  • 2finely chopped green chillies
  • as per tasteSalt
  • Green chutney
  • 1 cupGreen coriander chopped
  • 1/4 cupcurd
  • 1/2 tspCumin seeds
  • 2green chili
  • as per tasteSalt
  • as requiredWater

Steps

    Mix the gram flour with all ingredients and keep aside for 15-20 min

  2. 2

    Make chutney adding all ingredients in the small mixer jar n keep aside.

  3. 3

    Make potato mix by adding mashed boiled potatoes with all given spices.

  4. 4

    Take three slices of whole bread. On one Slice add potato mix and a thin layer of mayonnaise. On another slice add potato mix and one cheese slice. Add last bread slice to the top n make a sandwich (placing 1st bread at the bottom and second one in middle and last at the top)

  5. 5

    Place a heavy bottom kadahi n add oil to fry. Let the oil be hot on medium flame.

  6. 6

    Dip the prepared sandwich to the gram flour batter and place smoothly in the hot oil. Fry on high medium flame until golden brown and crisp.

  7. 7

    Make all pakoras with this procedure.

  8. 8

    Cut diagonally after taking out n serve hot with green chutney..
