These yummy and tempting Pakoras are the sweetest memories of my childhood and the mere reminiscence of it brings back to me all those subtle and cherished moments of my life which are very much an integral part of me.
My dearest mom used to make these for me and my whole bunch of friends every Saturday as it was the most loved day for me back then as the next day, that is Sunday would be a holiday to the School. Those were indeed some of the finest of memories associated with my growing years.
Enjoying these lip-smacking Pakoras with friends and literally devouring them was the most amazing thing ever.
And now I do the same for my kids. I try my best to make them as delicious and crisp as my mom would do and not to forget to mention, she does it even today.
Therefore this one's to my lovely mom. My strength and my bestest of friends cuz Iam the only daughter. Therefore she was always by my side as a sister during my teenage days and would never let me feel that I don't have a sis like others in my group. She was and is my guide, my mentor and my pride till date. And above all, she's my most pyari Ammijaan.
This recipe is absolutely and wholeheartedly dedicated to my beautiful mom inside and out.

Steps
- 1
Make a thick batter using all the ingredients listed under it. The batter should be thick but without lumps. Use water as required. Keep aside for 30 minutes at the least.
- 2
Take some less hot Broad Chillies for these Fritters. Wash and wipe them clean at first. Later make slits in all and remove the seeds. Take care not to slit them all the way to the end. Do not slit them into two. Give them just deep cuts so that the seeds are removed so as to make them less spicy. Or otherwise you can leave them as it is and proceed with the frying process.
- 3
Meanwhile, keep a kadhai with enough Oil for frying these beautiful Pakoras. Dip each in the batter and coat all the sides evenly with it. Drop carefully in hot oil and keep the heat on a medium to high. Fry in batches of 2-3. Serve them piping hot with any Chutney of your choice. Enjoy!
