Here is my new Soft Cassata Siciliana Tart, ready to enjoy. It’s perfect for this time of year, especially around Easter. This is an amazing, beautiful, and very easy dessert.

First, prepare the ricotta cream: Drain the ricotta for five days until it is dry. Using a hand mixer, blend the ricotta with the sugar, then add the chocolate chips.

Set aside.

In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar. Then add the flour and oil, and finally the baking powder. Mix well.

Butter and flour a baking pan, pour in the batter, and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 30 minutes.

Let the cake cool completely, then turn it out of the pan.

Put the ricotta cream into a piping bag with a tip.

Pipe dollops of the cream to cover the entire cake. Decorate the top with candied orange peel and candied cherries. I also added chocolate bunnies and chocolate eggs.
