Place the chicken wings in a big mixing bowl and rub the avocado oil all over wings and season with salt and pepper. Add the garlic and mix well. If you're using rice or apple cider vinegar you may mix it in after the garlic.

Add the egg and cornstarch. Mix until well blended and chicken pieces are fully coated with the egg-cornstarch mixture.

Pre-Heat air fryer to 380 degrees. Add the wings, in batches and fry until brown and cooked through, for 20 minutes, flipping the wings every 5 minutes. Increase the temperature to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and cook an additional 2 minutes for extra crispy skin. Use a digital meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature is 165 degrees F.

Carefully remove the air fryer wings from the air fryer, cover with your favorite sauce, and serve with your favorite sides.
