Kambu kolukattai is an easy to make healthy and nutritious. It is a mild sweet dumpling made by steaming kambu flour blended with jaggery water and stuffing with coconut and nuts mixture. This is my grandma recipe. Let’s try it your home enjoy.

Firstly take one pan to add in water to boil then add jaggery and mix it well when the jaggery completely dissolved filter if any impurities are there. Next In a bowl, take kambu flour and add salt and mix it well. Now add jaggery water and make it idiyappam batter consistency without lumps.

Then take a blender to add cashew nuts almonds and cardamom and blend it 2 to 3 pulses of coarse powder add in coconut and mix it well. then add 3 tsp jaggery water and mix it.

Divide the dough into equal size balls. Then grease your finger with oil. Give pressure at the centre, rotate and make it bowl shape. Fill mixing poornam. Fold & seal it and you would get a ball shape. keep each ball in your hand and press it to bring an oblong shaped dumpling.

Steam for 5 mins. Then Serve hot and enjoy.
