My Original Guacamole

I’ve made every guacamole combo you can think of. Some are really good, some are really mediocre, and one is just the best and the go to for me. I like specific tastebuds, hit hard. Salt, tang, spice, and the 7th sense, garlic.
It’s avocado season and the trees are loaded.

Cooking Instructions

Scoop out your avocados and put in a bowl. I use a potato masher. I like smooth and chunky together. Add the rest of your ingredients and stir. Taste test and adjust flavors. Once it sits it will mellow some. When I store it, I lay plastic wrap on the surface to keep it from turning brown. Fun fact: Florida avocados don’t turn brown like hass avocados do. They’re also 1/3 less fat.

Bare bones guac. That’s all you really need in life, 3rd only to air and water. Florida avocados are large, lower in fat, and don’t turn brown nearly as fast as hass avocados do. Also, my tree is loaded down so it’s avocados everyday! I use garlic powder because I like convenience and because I always have it and I get a lot of bang for my taste buck. This is guacamole done my way. There are many variations of this recipe. I like it blended because I don't care for chunks of raw onion, but I enjoy the flavor an onion adds. I like jalapenos for flavor and some heat. The "heat" will vary depending on the variety of jalapeno, it's maturity, and how it was grown. sandra53 -
