Ingredients

2 -3 servings
  • 2 cupschurumuri / puffed rice / murmura
  • 2 tbspcoconut oil
  • 1/2 tspkashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • 1/4 tspsalt
  • 2 tbspfried peanuts
  • 1/2onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/2tomato (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbspcarrot (grated)
  • 2 tbspcoriander (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsplemon juice
  • 2 tbspsev (fine)
  • 2 tbsppomegranate seeds

Steps

    Firstly, dry roast 2 cups churumuri on low flame until it turns crisp.

  2. 2

    You can alternatively keep it under the hot sunlight.

    Now take crispy murmura in a large mixing bowl.

    Add 2 tbsp coconut oil,1/2 tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp chili powder, ¼ tsp salt, and 2 tbsp fried peanuts.

    Mix well making sure the spices are coated well to churumuri.

    Now add ½ onion, ½ tomato, 2 tbsp carrot, 2 tbsp coriander, and 2 tbsp lemon juice.

  7. 7

    Mix roughly without allowing churumuri from turning soggy.

  8. 8

    Further, add 2 tbsp sev and mix roughly.

  9. 9

    Finally, enjoy churumuri or masala mandakki topped with more sev, pomegranate seeds, and coriander leaves.

  10. 10

    Ready to serve churumuri Bhel.
