Shrimp Ceviche
This is one of the traditional dishes from Campeche, my hometown. It's delicious and easy to make.
Steps
- 1
If using raw shrimp, cook them first. Wash, peel, and cut the shrimp into small cubes, about 1/2 inch (1 cm).
- 2
Dice the tomato, onion, and cucumber into small pieces.
- 3
Finely chop the cilantro leaves.
- 4
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl.
- 5
Add salt to taste, then pour in the lime juice and oil.
- 6
The secret to the flavor is in the oil. Use a mild, green-colored vegetable oil if possible.
- 7
Enjoy!
