Traditional dish for special occasions from my childhood.

Cut fresh mushrooms and onions in to small pieces. I've used portobello mushrooms. Cut the herring. My favourite is matjes. It has so smooth taste and soft texture 😋

Heat some oil, add onions and some sugar. When onions are fried, add mushrooms and mix all well. Add some butter and a little salt. Cook for 10 minutes.

Wait for mushrooms to cool down. Add herring and mix well. Smakelijk eten!
