Indonéský Guláš - beef goulash with coconut milk

Guláš or goulash is stew of beef seasoned with paprika. Goulash is originally from Hungary but it's also eaten in other part of Europe, especially Central Europe.
My husband is Czech. I am Indonesian. So here it is: Indonéský Guláš! A combination of Czech goulash and coconut milk.

Add lard to large pot over medium-high heat. Add in the onion and cook until brown.

Add beef, dried marjoram, bay leaf, sweet paprika powder, white pepper powder, caraway seed powder, chilli powder and salt. Stir and cook for 3 minute.

Add water, then lower the heat and simmer covered for 1 hours. Add coconut milk and simmer covered until the beef is tender.

Serve on plate with sliced onion for garnish.
