Bengali style Chicken aloo jhol

Cut potatoes and saute them till they turn brownish.
Keep aside. - 2
Next, marinate clean chicken with the above-mentioned ingredients. Keep aside for an hour.

Next prepare puree of 1 tomato. Keep aside.
Next heat kadhai with oil. Put bay leaf and cumin seeds. Add onions. Put little salt, sugar, and cinnamon powder. saute till the onions turn brownish. - 4
Now add the marinated chicken.

Sear at high heat for some time. Next, add prepared tomato puree. Mix and continue cooking.
Reduce heat and cook for some more time. As the chicken changes its colour, add chopped tomato.
Continue cooking without covering at slow heat for some time. Add Kashmiri red mirch. Mix. - 6
Side by side in a pressure cooker put water to 1/4 th of its level. Add chicken masala, chopped coriander leaves, and fresh green chili.
Let it come to a boil. - 7
Next, add the sauteed potatoes. Add the prepared chicken.
Give a nice gentle mix.
Adjust consistency as per our preference. - 8
Let it come to a nice boil.
Add garam masala and black pepper powder. Mix. Now put the pressure cooker lid on and cook the chicken at medium heat. - 9
As you get 2 whistles, switch the flame off.
Let it release pressure. Open. Garnish with coriander leaves. - 10
Serve hot with rice.
