Steps
- 1
Heat Olive oil in a saucepan Med-High temperature. Add Black Eyed Pea Flour.
- 2
Using wooden spatula, cook the mixture until bubbly and browned, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
- 3
Gradually stir in milk, stirring constantly.
- 4
Combine cheese. Heat to Med temperature, stirring constantly and cook 1 min.
- 5
Remove from heat and let cool in room temperature. The mixture will still be thin. Transfer to a small bowl and cover with plastic wrap or container with lid. If you would prefer to use it as a liquid, then you can skip the remaining steps and use it right away!
- 6
Chill in the refrigerator over 12 hours; the sauce becomes thick and creamy, texture like nut butter.
- 7
It is not just a dipping sauce. Try on toast or in your wraps.
