Hamburger Stew

My sister in-law made this for the first time the other day and told me to try it. Please read full recipe here as I added some notes that I did to change the recipe some in case you want to make it the exact same way. Following the recipe as it’s originally written will still be very good though I just changed it to how me and my family would like it.
Here’s the website it came from:

I doubled the potatoes and carrots and added peas and corn. Add or omit whatever vegetables you would like!

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Brown the beef and drain. Put back in the soup pot and add the oil, onion and celery. Sauté over medium-high heat for about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- 2
Sprinkle in the flour and cook 1-2 minutes stirring often. Then stir in tomato paste.
- 3
Add in the broth, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, potatoes, and carrots. Increase the heat to high and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat to a rapid simmer and cook, covered (with the lid slightly open), stirring occasionally, for at least 30 minutes or until the potatoes and carrots are tender and the flavors have had some time to build. Add more broth if the stew starts to get too thick, and if you want it thicker, cook it for longer with the lid off.
- 4
Stir in the corn and peas and season with salt and pepper or other seasonings you prefer.

I'm native american, grew up on a rez - this is a favorite dinner staple. My sister's the queen of soups, so with her tutelage, I made a pot by myself ❤Idk if you've ever seen the joke/meme about Natives or Mexicans not using exact measurements, but that's exactly what this entails. You measure with your heart/soul y'all. (Except the pasta in this case.) Teodora T. -

A stew I have cooked for many years sometimes I add diced tomatoes and sometimes I don't, this time I didn't. This version has a dreamy creamy consistency, due to the stick of butter and paprika. Its a great flavor combo. skunkmonkey101 -
Hamburger Soup Hamburger Soup
When it’s chilly, I serve my family warm and hearty bowls of this hamburger soup. This is a great dish to make for a crowd, or make it on the weekend and eat it all week. You can also spice it up a bit by adding some chile or cayenne powder. If you have other veggies that need to be used up, this soup is the perfect place to put them. Zucchini, sweet potato, beans? Put ‘em in the pot! You can also serve the soup over leftover rice or pasta. This recipe was modified from the Food Network#GlobalApron - Week 35. My child doesn't eat so much so I wanted to make a meat dish that my child would love! You can make it with the things you already have at home and kids and also adults like it. It is even a big hit when you serve it to guests! It looks like there are many things to do but I just wrote it down in detail, so the process itself is easy! My homemade hamburger is with bread crumbs, stir fried onions and with lots of milk so it becomes soft. But there are also things to make the hamburger to stick so don't worry. Taste it and add water if it is too strong. Recipe by Toiroiro cookpad.japan -

Beef Stew Beef Stew
It’s funny... I made some chili last week. As I was thinking in my head, “What the hell goes in chili”? I started saying, “Wait, no. This is sounding like a beef stew”. So... I decided to make a beef stew now. It’s cold now and these dishes warm the soul. I never appreciated beef stew when I was younger. But I realize how fine of a dish it is in my older age haha. Karl -
Beef Stew Beef Stew
I adjusted a recipe I had for a while to create my own taste. The key is to cook the chicken after coating it in salt, pepper, and flour. When adding it back into the pot from the plate, add it together with the meat's juices. It's good even without white vinegar. Recipe by LittleBird cookpad.japan -
