Soak chana dal for 3-4 hrs

Drain the water and grind dal to smooth paste by adding little water.

Transfer this paste to a mixing bowl

Now add chopped onion, chopped green chillies, chopped coriander leaves, chopped garlic, ginger, turmeric powder, red chilli powder,carom seeds, baking soda and salt.

Mix add 1 to 2tsp of oil mix it.grease the idli mould.

Keep spoonful of mixture in each mould and steam for about 20 mnts.

Once done remove them from mould

Let them cool.

Heat 1-2 tsp oil in pan add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves temper them now add bafauri toss.

Remove from fire and serve with tomato ketchup
