Steak Cubes with Garlic Shiso Miso Sauce Steak Cubes with Garlic Shiso Miso Sauce
This is one of my husband's favorite dishes, so we have it quite often -- especially in the summer, when there's lots of fresh shiso to pick.Cutting the meat into cubes helps shorten the cooking time and creates more surfaces for the sauce to coat.I used beef when I took these pictures, but economical pork shoulder or chicken (thigh, breast meat, or tenders) are delicious in this recipe too. Also, be sure to adjust the amount of sauce to the amount of meat you're using, so that it doesn't get too salty.Yields 1 to 2 servings. I found this recipe on the French food website called Demotivateur. It’s a tasty and colorful dish, and it works well with tofu. The chimichurri here is not the typical Argentine chimichurri I grew up with in Argentina, but it is delicious nevertheless. Ricardo -
Chimichurri Sauce Chimichurri Sauce
A wonderful sauce from Uruguay and Argentina. The recipes vary but these are the basic ingredients. Some add cilantro. Some add fresh oregano instead of dried. Extra Virgin olive oil isn't used, it's usually another type of oil. Some use red chilli peppers instead of red pepper flakes. This is just a simple version for two people to enjoy. skunkmonkey101
