Soak Chickpeas in water (overnight).

Heat oil in Kadai. Add cumin seeds & asafoetida. Then add green chillies & Chickpeas. Saute it. Then add Potato & Pumpkin pieces. Fry it well.

Add turmeric powder & salt.
Fry it for 3 minutes. Then add water, boil it. Cover & cook it for 10 minutes in low flame. Then add sugar. Cook it in high flame for 2 minutes. It's done. Delicious Sabji is ready to serve with Roti, Paratha or Puri.
