Mini Arepa for two

One of my partner’s classmates, who was from Venezuela, told us about arepas and said they eat them for breakfast almost every day. We tried it ourselves and really liked them!
You can split them apart and put almost anything in between like a sandwich.

One of my partner’s classmates, who was from Venezuela, told us about arepas and said they eat them for breakfast almost every day. We tried it ourselves and really liked them!

Steps
- 1
Preheat oven to 400°F/200°C.
Measure out all the ingredients into a medium bowl. - 2
Mix with hand until dough comes together and forms a ball like Play-Do. You shouldn’t have to knead very much.
- 3
Separate out dough into 4 equal sized pieces and form into patties.
- 4
Grill on a hot cast iron pan for about 2 minutes on each side until the arepas get some color.
- 5
Put the cast iron pan in the oven (or move to a separate oven dish) and bake for 12-13 minutes. Enjoy!
