Baked Nachos with Cheese and Oregano

At the famous 'Feria de Xàtiva' there was a stand with lots of spices, and that's where I found oregano branches from the Sierra de Cazorla. I love it for its aroma and rich flavor; I couldn't find it at any herbalist or market, and my friend Sergi had to bring it to me from Switzerland. So as soon as I got home, I couldn't wait and made this appetizer to try it.
Baked Nachos with Cheese and Oregano

Cooking Instructions

Place the nachos in an oven-safe dish.

Sprinkle the grated cheese on top, then crumble the oregano with your fingers and sprinkle it over the cheese.

Bake at 430°F (220°C) with heat from top and bottom until the cheese starts to turn golden.

There are many versions of this on Pintrest and this is my version! You could also use ground beef or (other ground meat) with half a pack of taco seasoning, which I will be trying next! The topping are endless and it can be altered to your liking. I used lowfat/fat free ingredients where I could to make it a little bit healthier. Jessica
