It’s one of the simplest recipes of drumstick leaves. Enjoy with steamed rice along with dal.

Clean and wash drumstick leaves. Assemble rest of the ingredients. Roast the dumplings with 1 tsp oil.

Heat oil, splutter mustard and black gram seeds, followed by red chilli, garlic and onion. Sauté until onion becomes translucent.

Now add the leaves, tomatoes and salt. Cook in medium flame, with occasionally checking, as drumstick leaves don’t leave much water, so if needed add 1/4 cup water, until fully cooked.

After switching off the heat, mix crushed dumplings/badi.

Serve with plain rice along with dal/sambar.
