Ingredients

  1. 1.5kgsBasmati rice
  2. 1 kgChicken, medium size
  3. 500 gmsFried Onions,
  4. Ginger garlic paste
  5. Coriander leaves, chopped
  6. Mint leaves, chopped
  7. 2 tspKeowra water,
  8. 1 tspRose water,
  9. 1.5 tspsTurmeric powder,
  10. 2 tspsRed chilli powder,
  11. 250 gmsCurd,
  12. Whole spices (bay leaves, cardamom, clove, cinnamon, star anise)
  13. 200 mlMilk
  14. Salt to taste
  15. 2 tspBiriyani Masala,
  16. 1 pinchFood colour,

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash the chicken with salt and lemon.

  2. 2

    Mix all spices, ginger garlic paste and curd in a bowl.

  3. 3

    Add the chicken and marinate for 1 hour.

  4. 4

    Cook the rice for 70% and drain excess water

  5. 5

    Put the marinated chicken in a bowl and put the half cooked rice on the top. Sprinkle the milk and

  6. 6

    Then some coriander leaves, mint leaves, biriyani powder and cover the lid and cook on medium - low flame for 20mins.

    Serve hot with Raita
