Ingredients

10 people
  1. 3 poundrutabaga/ Swede
  2. To taste ground paprika
  3. To taste salt
  4. As neededgrated Parmesan cheese
  5. As neededHeinz tomato ketchup optional
  6. As neededunfiltered extra virgin olive oil to drizzle over rutabaga

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 425° Fahrenheit. Cut the rutabaga in half. Slice the halves and peel.

  2. 2

Cut the pieces into sticks. I had to use 2 quarter sheet cake pans. The ones I sliced thin I put on one the the thicker one I put on the other. Drizzle with oil and salt put into the oven for 20-30 minutes. Thin is 20, the thick 30.

  3. 3

After the time of cooking is done, add, flip rutabaga sticks. Add the paprika and Parmesan cheese. Put bak into the oven for same amount of time.

  4. 4

When time is done remove the rutabaga fries from the oven. Add the rutabaga together and serve. At first I didn't know how my 3 youngest granddaughters would like them. One wanted seconds, the other 2 wanted forths. They are them with and without ketchup. Well if you give it a go I hope you enjoy!!!!
