Chayote (Chow Chow) Parantha
Steps
- 1
Knead the flour as we generally knead for paranthas.
- 2
Next, dry roast besan for about 10 minutes or till it turns brown and leaves aroma.
- 3
Make sure you grate chow chow from a coarse grater because chow chow leaves a lot of water after grated. Also squeeze out all the water of the grated chow chow.
- 4
To make masala, heat 1 tablespoon oil in a wok. Add asafoetida, cumin seeds and sesame seeds to this. Now add green chilli paste and mix well. Add grated chow chow and salt to the masala. Mix and add besan to this. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add coriander leaves to this and let the masala cool down.
- 5
Now fill this masala in between of a dough ball. Seal it and start flattening it.
- 6
Now fry it on tawa using oil or ghee of your choice.
- 7
Enjoy it with tomato sabji, green chutney or any pickle of your choice.
