Smoked Pulled Pork

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Trim your pork of thin meat, hard fat, silver spots
- 2
Give the pork a light coat of mustard to help give the rub something to adhere too.
- 3
Apply an even coating of rub
- 4
Setup your grill or smoker in your preferred configuration. Bring the grill up to 275 degrees. You want to stay between 250-300 degrees for this cook.
- 5
Put the pork on the grill and let it cook for 2 hrs.
- 6
After the 2 hrs is up, check the pork and spray with Apple Cider Vinegar every hour for the next 2 hrs.
- 7
After around 4 hrs, your pork should be around 160 degrees. Wrap in tin foil along with a splash of ACV and honey drizzle on top.
- 8
Place back on the grill for another 2 hrs or until it reaches 205 degrees, and there is no resistance when probing the meat.
- 9
Let the meat rest and than serve.

How To Smoke Pulled Pork BBQ How To Smoke Pulled Pork BBQ
Read this.Pulled Pork. Pork BBQ. Pork shoulder. Boston Butt. Picnic Roast. It's moist and tender, smokey, and those pieces of bark that have so much freaking flavor.I am going to explain Pulled Pork so that you can be successful on the regular.Meat choice: Bone-in. Period. It makes better pulled pork. Period.Trim the fat: Trim any excess fat down to about a 1/4 inch. Some is good, but too much and your rub, and your smoke won't penetrate and you're going to throw it out later anyhow.Rub: You'll need something to make your meat sticky so the rub adheres. Use regular mustard and a little honey. Different people use different things. You will not taste the mustard when this is all said and done. The rub. Use a lot. All over the meat. Then wrap this hunk of meat tightly in plastic wrap and toss in the refrigerator for 8 or more hours.Temperature: People argue. But, general consensus is indirect cooking between 225°-285°. I like 250°.Smoke: Again, people argue. I like Pecan, Apple and Cherry. Pear and Hickory are good, too. Mix and match, experiment with what you like.Cook: To internal temperature of 198°-203°, whenever the bone easily wiggles and slides out of meat. Timing will vary between every pork butt. Do NOT go by time, go by internal temperature.Wrap in aluminum foil tightly. Place in cooler, cover with towels and rest for at least 1 hour.Pull. Eat.Have questions? Pulled Pork Pulled Pork
This is a mish-mosh of a couple recipes. And I've done it with both a pressure cooker and crock pot and worked out great with either method. I love coleslaw on my pulled pork sandwich but if you want it on the side, that's fine. If you don't want it at all, that's fine too!! As always thank you to my photographer husband Mike to make it look picture perfect!! kokomayla -
